 From August 3 to August 9, the festival. “A MidsummerMusic Dream/ Songe d’été en musique” will celebrate its 4th season of making music in the Eastern Townships of rural Quebec. The performers are professional musicians from New York teaming up with the finest Canadian and Quebecois musicians in the region. In addition to the concerts, festival participants can also enroll in classes such as technique and chamber ensemble, and rock guitar. Instruction will also be given in voice, violin and flute. This year we are adding two exciting activities. First is a baroque ensemble, led by Dale Stuckenbruck. The ensemble will feature young and talented musicians from his "Kammermusik" baroque ensemble based iLambton Churchn Garden City, New York.

Secondly, we are adding the opportunity for local singers to take part in a community choir led by renowned choral conductor, Alexander Dashnaw. The festival will take place at the junction of the Beauce and Eastern Townships region of Quebec which is approximately 1 1/2 hour drive south from Quebec City, 1 1/2 hour drive north-east from Sherbrook and a 1 1/2 hour drive north from the Maine border crossing. Events are taking place in the villages of Courcelles, Lambton, Lac-Drolet, St-Sébastien and St-Romain. The venues are the Moulin Bernier, a museum of art and culture in Courcelles, Church in Lambton, the Maison du Granit in Lac-Drolet, which is also a museum, Church in St-Sébastien and Church in St-Romain.
